Bad: During last night's Presidential press conference on health care, a reporter asks President Obama a non sequitur question about Dr. Henry Louis Gates' recent arrest.

Worse: President Obama answers the question, suggesting the Cambridge police "acted stupidly" in their treatment of Dr. Gates.

Fail: The Mass Media decides to make this exchange the top story to come out of last night's health care press conference.

In that episode, the main plot involves Dr. Frasier Crane working to analyze a persistent dream he has (where he finds himself in bed with a male colleague). Remember the apocryphal story circulating the news and internet about Clinton staffers performing all sorts of pranks as they left the White House? While people still argue the veracity of that incident, I doubt it reaches the level of pettiness exhibited by President Bush towards President Elect Obama.
