The Ubiquitous Grammar Cop

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

For some time now, there has been a constant refrain from some of my fellow Americans (strangers and acquaintances alike) who want to "Take our country back". I would like to ask a question to those who agree with that sentiment; from whom are we taking our country back?
